Work From Home Opportunities

Work From Home (W.F.H.)

You are looking for a work-from-home job or else you would not be reading this blog. Let us define what work from home is. Work from home is a concept where employees do not commute to an office but do their job from home. In layman’s terms, it is work you complete or do in the comforts of your own home. Now, there are millions of people who would love “not” to punch in on a clock for a 9-5 and work for an overbearing boss. I am one of those people and I am sure you are too!

Nothing is wrong with working a 9-5. If It brings home the bacon (sort of speak) and pays the bills. There are plenty of people who love their 9-5 careers because it has always been a passion of theirs since childhood or because it is a competitive field and maybe they are competitive. Who knows? But let’s take a step back and name a few work-from-home jobs that are too competitive in their own right.

  • Affiliate Marketing
  • Streaming (YouTube, Vemo, ect)
  • Selling products

Starting off with affiliate marketing. What is it? Affiliate marketing is a process where publishers earn a commission by promoting a product or service made by another retailer or advertiser. The affiliate partner is rewarded a payout for providing a specific result to the retailer or advertiser.

Affiliate marketing is one of the easiest work-from-home jobs there is but also the most complicated if you do not understand the business model. You see anyone can promote a product but can you close a sale on it? It’s getting people to purchase from your affiliate link which is the catcher.

So, how do we accomplish that? You need to ask yourself a few questions first. Question 1# needs to ask, “where are you promoting or selling your product?” (social media, Ads, or your own website) Question 2# should be, “what are you selling?” Question 3# needs to be, “who is your audience?” Last but not least your final question will be, “how can the product I promote/sell be used to solve my potential buyers’ issues?

Once you are able to answer these four questions the next step will be to implement a plan of action based on these four questions. Note there will be more questions needing an answer as you get further along.

Answering question 1#

Where are you promoting or selling the product? Is it on a website of your own or will it be on Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, Twitter etc. I will pick my own personal website, “Queen And Seven Streams.” Now let us add another question here.

Does your chosen platform have traffic or access to it?

Don’t know what traffic is? let us answer that question. Traffic is defined as, vehicles moving on a road or public highway. However, website traffic refers to the volume of users that travel to a given website. Just like when you see traffic on the highway heading to a store or what have you.

Website traffic is just the same except it is on the web! Make a note of this. Traffic is key to your success or failure at affiliate marketing or a brick-and-mortar business. If you do not have the traffic to make the sales your business and affiliate links are as good as dead in the waters. So, rank traffic as very high up on your list of important things to keep note of.

How do I get website traffic? This question reroutes itself back to, “What Are You Selling/Promoting?” and who is your targeted audience? Okay, I’m selling glass mugs my targeted audience is coffee drinkers.

So, I would research different varieties of coffee first. How they are made, where they come from, what particular plant grows that kind of coffee etc. After, I have researched all of this I would then create a concise back story of these different coffees with graphics to give a visual sense and explain how they would go well with a nice glass or porcelain mug.

You can also purchase website traffic although I would not recommend buying traffic at all as it will make your website look fake and google can easily spot auto-generated traffic, thus dropping your rankings and giving your platform or website less love.

Further answering the question of “how to get website traffic?” Is fairly simple. Offer quality content. Content that is valuable and targets the audience you want and their needs.

Another, how to question would be, (how to) make money from website traffic? This question will do what its predecessor did and reroute itself back to the original question and ask a few others.

Which are, “what are you selling/promoting?” Does your site have ads on it that your potential guest can click on? (such as google ads that will generate revenue off of every click.) In connection with the ads do you offer quality content on your website that would drive traffic to it? These questions must be answered in order to make money from your targeted audience and traffic.

Answering question 2#

“What are you selling/promoting?”

This is probably the most challenging question when it comes to affiliate marketing. What to sell or promote? What will bring in the most money or sell the fastest?

Well, that depends on the supply and demand of the item or product. In reality, you can sell practically anything as long as it has good quality content to back it up and it meets the consumer’s needs.

Now, granted there are products that, if researched well and there’s a large enough demand for it can sell pretty fast. Others will sell simply because the item is a common household good and there is already a strong market for it. But again this all requires research on your part as the affiliate to find these strong markets for the product you are promoting.

As I said early on, I have coffee mugs for sale at my store on bonfire.com. My targeted audience for my product would be women who enjoys a good cup of tea, coffee, milk, or any type of beverage you can fit into this beautiful mug I have created here at Bonfire who is, by the way, FREE to use with no down payments or fees. All rights and designs belong to their respective owners and creators. So, if you want to create a T-shirt or mug etc. Check out Bonfire. You can set up a free account and start bringing your ideas to life.

Answering question 3#

“Who is your audience?”

Well go ahead and answer the question. Who is your audience? Who are you selling or promoting your product to? I have already answered this question. My Audiences are women who like pretty mugs with a nice beverage to go along with it.

To find out who your audience is, all you need do is look at what you are selling. Then google the demographics that this particular item would appeal to.

Would it appeal to a younger generation, older, male, female, etc.

Who stands a better chance at buying your product?

What does the market look like for this item?

Once you have answered these questions then you would have gotten your answer to “Who” your audience is.

Answering the final question

How can the product I promote/sell be used to solve my potential buyers’ issues?

Oh, this is an easy one. Supply and demand. What is it your potential consumer need? My potential consumer needs and wants a pretty coffee mug to drink their favorite beverage out of and if not?

They will use it for decoration. This solves two of my potential consumer problems needs and wants. How does your product solve your consumer problems?

First, look at how this product will be used or consumed. Then look at how your consumer/buyer will use or consume it. It is fairly straightforward.

Streaming

Alright! Now we are off to the streamers!!!! Streaming is the act of live recording a video while uploading it to your video platform. This platform can be something that you personally own. Or one of the many popular ones such as YouTube, FaceBook, Twitter, Twitch, Locals ect.

Anyway depending on the video platform you use and how the company pays the streamer; you can make a pretty decent living off of streaming videos. The highest-paid YouTuber according to MintLife is one by name of Mr.Beast who brought in a whopping $54 million in 2021.

For the most part, content is king, and knowing your audience is queen. Everything falls back to those two little statements. There are different factors that go into making videos or live streaming for your chosen platform. Like what type of camera you will use and its video quality etc. YouTube has been a most admonish and rivaled video streaming platform since its inception and is slated to grow in revenue by $24.5 billion at the end of 2022. And that is all paid in ads.

Having ads attached to your videos can bring in additional money aside from the views. Some $0.01-0.03 per click. Might not seem like a lot but Mr. Beast is literally the model for success on YouTube. Last I checked he was offered a whopping $1Billion USD for his channel. That is insane! Link here!

Selling

THE BIG ONE

This goes back to what is it your potential buyer needs and how is what you are selling to them solving that need? Well, my buyer cannot drink hot or cold beverages from their hands.

I mean they might be able to slurp one and that’s about it. But I doubt sincerely the hot one. So, customers do need my pretty little cup. It is simple and keeps them from having to slurp from their hands. jk!

That is all you have to do. Find an item or product study its usefulness then write quality content around and about that item as I have with my little cup here.

Now the competition is fierce. You have to make your product sound like it is the best thing since sliced bread! And I stand by that with my little cup here. It is the best thing since sliced bread.

You can even munch on some toast with your favorite jam on it! While drinking some cocoa from this little cup during this winter season. Happy Holidays to you!

Best work-from-home jobs

I cover this in one of my articles I wrote earlier this year, Looking for a work-from-home job?

Here’s a small snippet of what is covered…

“If you are reading this, I will assume that it is safe to say that you are looking for a work-from-home job. There are plenty of them out there. Most are telecommunication jobs, digital, OR a combination of them both. If you have access to the internet it can be quite rewarding.

However, telecommunications and digital are not the “only” kind of work-from-home employment. Work from home literally means exactly that. It is work that you perform from the privacy of your own home.

These are other types of work-from-home jobs that are available out there. All it takes to learn any of these is a bit of education, experience, confidence, and marketing.

Some of these jobs here are skill acquired but pays well because so few know of them OR are unwilling to do them. I will give a description of each job below this post.”

1. Photography

2. Customer Service

3. Arts & Craft

4. Blogging

5. Affiliate Marketing

Affiliate Marketing

Affiliate marketing is a work-from-home job where you sign up with a company’s Affiliate program to promote their product to your audience on social media or any news outlet and earn a commission for doing so. The affiliate program’s payout varies from company to company. Some are highly lucrative others not so much but this is neither here nor there.

You can earn a great deal of money from selling products that are worth let’s say $10 and the commission is possibly $3 out of that $10 product a customer buys from you. If the product is marketed correctly to the customer and the information sourced out properly, you can make $1000s dollars. This all depends on how well-written your review of the product is and how widely it’s been used.

So, there you have it. Just to spark an idea of the many different kinds of work-from-home jobs that are available. This is not all of them but just a start. There are many more such as casting, woodworking, welding, glassblower, etc all of these work-from-home jobs do require specialized tools and a host of safety equipment to perform the job as well as a bit of education.

Plenty of ways to make money while at home the question is are you willing to put in the effort and time to learn how to perform the tasks?

There are so many work-from-home jobs. What I have named above and throughout this article are only a few. Where there is a will there is a way. Are you willing to apply yourself and the information that is given?
